Week 14
This week was a pretty relaxed week. We learned new equations and its relations to algebraic equations. Tuesday Mr. Abud was absent and we had the wonderful Mr. Roberts and substitute where we took a assessment. The assessment actually went really good I actually knew what was doing. The next day when Mr. Abud returned we graded our assessments as a class, it was different but got to learn how to grade them from 1-4. I did really good on the assessment. Later that week we did something in the hall with a bowling ball where we led the ball down the hall by stepping forward when it passed us. We also calculated with the ramp and the car to see what it's position graphing would look like. And we walked towards the censor to get the graphing calculation, with the differences of walking fast, fast then slow, slow then fast, and slow toward the censor as it registered us. We also were assigned a new mouse trap car project that's due next. But overall this week went by pretty quick.

Week 11
This week went by really fast and I actually had fun in class. We did our first project with the choice of a partner. The project was called the spaghetti bridge project where we had to title our company, create a slide show presentation, determine the pricing of our bridges, and over all build a strong bridge using only tape and a hot glue gun. I decided to work with partners and my partners were Hannah and Taylor. Our bridge company was called HTC (our first initials) Construction Company. We worked really well together and incorporated everyone's ideas in the process of creating the bridge. We did our bridge in bundles as the platform . We also decided to make triangles on the side if the bridge for sturdiness and a creative design. We constructed it with hot glue and tape as directed, we even gave it a little piazzas by adding glitter and sparkle to the bridge. We only used less than half of one spaghetti box of noodles in our bridge, and the amount we used then dictated the amount of our bridge. Anyway the bridge was a success and we maxed out our bridge with the weights during the class presentation. I am really proud of my group and my bridge. And as a cherry on top the assessment was moved to Monday.
Week 13
Unfortunately I was absent Monday and Tuesday of this week because of a field trip and challenge day. We also had a half a day and did not have first through third hours *sad face*. But Thursday we did a awesome lab of going on top of the roof top of the and each group dropped something until it hit the ground. Most group including mind dropped cell phones but one group dropped a bowling ball. We recorded how many seconds it took the object to got the ground. My group dropped a Verizon phone and it fell down 2.6 seconds. The next day we used our data we got from the lab and incorporated it in a quadratic equation. As normal we put our work on the white boards and hot a better understanding of how being in algebra two is also being used in physics. I have a much better understanding if both now. Anyway thankful we did not have a assessment today it has been moved to this upcoming Tuesday.

Reflection week 8
This week I got to catch up on what I missed Friday since I missed the assessment. Thankfully Wednesdays are the make up days so the day before I filled out two reassessment forms on the website, because I didn't like what I got on the 2.- assessment s. I plan not to reassess that assessment so late anymore. But I did get a chance to take the 6.- assessment this week for the first time and I think I did pretty good.
This week we did a couple of physical activities concerning balancing and where your core of balancing is in your body. We did one activity with four football players with strong knees who balanced all together with no chairs, it's was really cool and interesting. This Friday was the end of the quarter and and we did not have a assessment but we did take a first quarter survey giving our viewpoints and any concerning we had so far. I really appreciated this because I felt a unite as teacher and student/class.

Reflection week 7
I do not recall much this week but this week we received our progress reports this week, which was honestly really scary because I haven't checked Active Grade in FOREVER. And honestly I was disappointed with my self about my grade but luckily Mr. Abud actually cared and gave us those reports so we can know what we need to make up and fix which was really convenient.
This week we studied the forms of balancing and the study's if weight and mass. We worked I our groups and weighed the weights and plotted them on a graph and presented it to the class. Unfortunately I missed this Friday so missed the weekly assessment but plan to make it up next week.

Week 6
This week was spirit week and class, which was pretty hectic but I tried not to pull the "ugh it's first hour" this week. Therefore I came open to learn new things with a positive attitude. This week we did our weekly routin of working in our groups and extended our understanding by sharing and receiving our knowledge in the big class circle. We were given problems to solve and completed our task whether right or wrong. This week we also had a substitute because Mr. Abud was absent and we just finished discussing our boards and got a chance to ask each student what we didn't understand and how they got to that solution. Each problem consisted i the study of friction, gravity, a table, and the earth and how it works together depending on what type of problem we had. Like what needed to go up,down, left and right on the motion arrow lines.
Thankfully there was no assessment this week because of pep rally and shorten classes in spirit of homecoming week.

Week 5
This week we collaborated with other groups/tables on activities concerning car testing and white board calculating. This week we failed a couple of times in succeed the task on the first try. We realized our mistakes only after the failure and went back and fixed it and came back and succeeded. Although our chances lowered of getting a high score on the first try we were just happy to that we didn't fail in grade and that we finally conquered. We actually worked pretty good together
We had our third assessment but this week was the second one that actually counted. This test was pretty difficult for me but I did the best I can.

Reflection week 4
This week we actually started to review things that understand. We had a chill week with the half day and all. But went deeper knowledge of velocity and how it related to slope. We also learned more about motion graphs and how they are not called line graphs. We separated math with physics by using intercepts. I am noticing that so far we rarely use inches in physics because for the last couple of weeks we've been using millimeters and centimeters and were always measuring some type of distance and the time (seconds) it gets there.
Friday we took our second assessment, I think I did alright on it not really sure about it yet. This week also consisted for some more getting use to with explains the physics grading system to your parents and understanding it yourself. We also worked with our groups this week as normals while solving worksheets and with our collaborations we answered each others questions and asked Mr. Abud as a group if/since we shared common concerns.

3 weeks and three days
This week was a pretty relaxed week. We went outside and measured that distance with our groups and competed with other groups to see who can can get there car to go past a certain limit/line under 20 seconds. Some group came in first with the closest time of 20.8 seconds and my group best time was 21.0 and were in first until the winning group went. But it's was fun going outside and having interested in who would win and how they could their cars to past the line the fastest, although it was cold. But anyway we took notes this week and worked with our table on a worksheet. The class learned that it is better to vertical intercept and horizontal intercept instead of (y) and (x) in physics. We will learn more about that next week though.
But today we took our first assessment and it was okay. I didn't understand one question but it wasn't to bad. Others in the class said they lost and didn't know some of the answers but its wasn't to bad. It was different to see the way Mr.Abud's does his "assessments", but change is good sometimes.

Reflection
As I reflect on the school year and what shall happen in the future I visualize school being completely over. But is school really ever over since there's college and you are always learning new things. I just can't wait for junior year to be over, it's already stress with all the expectation for grades and colleges etc. But I'm also not ready to leave the nest like I know I will wish I was back in high school once I'm older. In the future I will reflect on what I could've, should've, would've, and didn't do. I will do that only to remind myself not to regret or to be discourage because I know that reflection make you what you are today. As you look in a mirror everyday you might see something different every time but that's not a bad thing because 'you noticed' it. Noticing your surroundings is very important. But the fact that you noticed your difference means that you had to do something right. So when you notice your past in the future appreciate the bad and the good of it. Because you are noticing that what happened is now over.
Reflecting isn't just for the future and the past but it stands most importantly being the now. For instance as I reflect on the school so far I can tell that it will be really busy but I also like how everything education wise is going since the first 3 weeks of school so far. This gives me hope and gratitude that I will maintain this excellence and remain stable in my NOW. I like the flow and speed of my classes and appreciate all my questions being answered with open arms especially in Mr. Abud's class. I am also glad that I am understanding a lot and taking the initiative us answer question. I am doing all around well because I reflected and took the time to notice myself.

Physics beginnings
Its funny how you can easily begin to reflect on past events from years ago to the matters of seconds ago.Reflecting on sevens days, nineteen minutes and thirty-four seconds ago on entering Mr. Abud first hour Physics class for the first time. I recall his warming welcome and he handed me a assuming 4'6 notecard. I was so tired and wasn't excited about school but as I look at my new teacher Mr.Abud, he seemed so eager and ready for the upcoming school year. But safe to see I saw others that I had known and had classes with in the past which took me from a one scoring from 1-10 to about a three.
But back to the note card which had random words, names, etc on it that would hopefully have some soon purpose, I thought. However, as the class continued I begin to appreciate Mr.Abud humor and was was glad to know that we would more "getting to know each other" games. Knowing this during the first week of class I came in with the high of at least a high five mood ranking. But as the week continued now on day two i came in class still tired and bitter that school started i walked in surprised to see a random box on the floor that seen to have 6 sides. But that day was when I learned that 6 is only expected to be the logical obvious number but a cube can easily stand and survive with only f sides. The next day was names and j learned that a simple mixture in sits could change the way you memorized someone's name. I also learned steps and different ways to memorize someone's name. That all was the icebreaker of the beginning of Mr. Abud's class to a full year and honestly I was pretty excited!
