3 weeks and three days

This week was a pretty relaxed week. We went outside and measured that distance with our groups and competed with other groups to see who can can get there car to go past a certain limit/line under 20 seconds. Some group came in first with the closest time of 20.8 seconds and my group best time was 21.0 and were in first until the winning group went. But it's was fun going outside and having interested in who would win and how they could their cars to past the line the fastest, although it was cold. But anyway we took notes this week and worked with our table on a worksheet. The class learned that it is better to vertical intercept and horizontal intercept instead of (y) and (x) in physics. We will learn more about that next week though.

But today we took our first assessment and it was okay. I didn't understand one question but it wasn't to bad. Others in the class said they lost and didn't know some of the answers but its wasn't to bad. It was different to see the way Mr.Abud's does his "assessments", but change is good sometimes.

Reflection

As I reflect on the school year and what shall happen in the future I visualize school being completely over. But is school really ever over since there's college and you are always learning new things. I just can't wait for junior year to be over, it's already stress with all the expectation for grades and colleges etc. But I'm also not ready to leave the nest like I know I will wish I was back in high school once I'm older. In the future I will reflect on what I could've, should've, would've, and didn't do. I will do that only to remind myself not to regret or to be discourage because I know that reflection make you what you are today. As you look in a mirror everyday you might see something different every time but that's not a bad thing because 'you noticed' it. Noticing your surroundings is very important. But the fact that you noticed your difference means that you had to do something right. So when you notice your past in the future appreciate the bad and the good of it. Because you are noticing that what happened is now over.

Reflecting isn't just for the future and the past but it stands most importantly being the now. For instance as I reflect on the school so far I can tell that it will be really busy but I also like how everything education wise is going since the first 3 weeks of school so far. This gives me hope and gratitude that I will maintain this excellence and remain stable in my NOW. I like the flow and speed of my classes and appreciate all my questions being answered with open arms especially in Mr. Abud's class. I am also glad that I am understanding a lot and taking the initiative us answer question. I am doing all around well because I reflected and took the time to notice myself.

Physics beginnings

Its funny how you can easily begin to reflect on past events from years ago to the matters of seconds ago.Reflecting on sevens days, nineteen minutes and thirty-four seconds ago on entering Mr. Abud first hour Physics class for the first time. I recall his warming welcome and he handed me a assuming 4'6 notecard. I was so tired and wasn't excited about school but as I look at my new teacher Mr.Abud, he seemed so eager and ready for the upcoming school year. But safe to see I saw others that I had known and had classes with in the past which took me from a one scoring from 1-10 to about a three.

But back to the note card which had random words, names, etc on it that would hopefully have some soon purpose, I thought. However, as the class continued I begin to appreciate Mr.Abud humor and was was glad to know that we would more "getting to know each other" games. Knowing this during the first week of class I came in with the high of at least a high five mood ranking. But as the week continued now on day two i came in class still tired and bitter that school started i walked in surprised to see a random box on the floor that seen to have 6 sides. But that day was when I learned that 6 is only expected to be the logical obvious number but a cube can easily stand and survive with only f sides. The next day was names and j learned that a simple mixture in sits could change the way you memorized someone's name. I also learned steps and different ways to memorize someone's name. That all was the icebreaker of the beginning of Mr. Abud's class to a full year and honestly I was pretty excited!
