week 33
This week we began a speaker project of getting into groups and creating a styrofoam plate speaker. This was a on class project where we were given this supples and directions and told to create a speaker and a 6 slide presentation. We looked up in further detail of how to create the styrofoam plates. This was our main focus this week as we were coming down to the last days of this school year. In our research of getting the speaker to work we learned that the speaker contains a permanent and electromagnetic magnet. It is a metal coil that allows a electric flow through the coils. In testing our speaker we had to connect wires and coils together with clamps and attach it in the phone headphone jack so we can test the speakers. We were trying to test and see if we can hear the music through the styrofoam speaker. On our first try we couldn't really really hear the music therefore we made some adjustments and was able to play the music through the styrofoam speaker and hear it clearly. We were all really excited with our success and although we finished out presentation we weren't able to present this week so we plan on presenting Monday.
